Force in the Community, the community arm of Portsmouth Force Basketball Club (UK), is proud to announce its first International Basketball Camp, set to take place in Dubai in April 2026. This landmark event will be delivered in collaboration with Portsmouth Force Basketball Club (UK) and Modern Basketball Academy (Dubai), bringing together elite coaching, international exposure, and a powerful community-driven vision.

This camp marks a major step forward in Force in the Community’s mission to create life-changing opportunities for young players, using basketball as a platform to connect cultures, develop identity, and inspire the next generation.

Elite International Coaching Line-Up

The Dubai International Basketball Camp will be led by an outstanding team of highly experienced coaches, offering players access to knowledge and expertise rarely found in one environment.

Coach Hamdy, Head Coach of Modern Basketball Academy, leads the programme. He is a former Egyptian National Team coach, with experience and basketball knowledge that goes beyond the game itself. His leadership, understanding of player development, and international background make him one of the most respected figures in the region.

Joining him is Coach Akram Alsobky (Coach K), the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Egyptian National Teams and one of the most successful and recognised performance coaches in the sports field. His work at the highest level ensures players will learn the importance of physical preparation, injury prevention, discipline, and professionalism.

Representing the UK is Coach Craig Dawson, Head of Basketball at Portsmouth Force Basketball Club, alongside his experienced coaching staff. Coach Dawson brings a strong development pathway perspective from the UK game, ensuring players benefit from international coaching styles and structured player progression.

Together, this elite coaching group creates a truly world-class learning environment.

The camp has already received strong interest from UK-based players, alongside players from the Middle East and other regions. With a focus on quality, development, and individual attention, spaces are limited.
