Game 4 … this week we welcomed Sussex Storm 2 to Admiral Lord Nelson, Fresh off our
strong win last week against GSD the boys were very buoyant and ready to take it to the
Sussex Storm.
First Quarter, a Strong tip sees possession straight to the Force, but we were unable to
convert it into our first points, after a few rebounds and turnovers we got our first points on
the board, but both teams were still sizing each other up, There was scoring at both ends and
we finished the quarter with a single-point lead. 15 – 14.
Second Quarter, A good period of possession and passing by the Force kept Sussex on the
back foot as the points started to flow, A good haul of points for Dimitry Kursevs and Jonas
Dilba gave us a well-earned 8-point lead going into the third 13 – 7.
Third Quarter, another strong quarter for the Portsmouth Force as we looked to stretch our
lead, a switch up in tactics from the bench saw the Force implement so good team plays
which got us into the paint regularly, good sharing of points in this quarter but a flurry of
baskets from Dylan Keating at the end giving us an even more commanding lead of 18 – 7.
In the fourth quarter, Sussex really rallied in this quarter with a few unanswered points putting
the Force on the back foot slightly, but a few tactical substitutions saw us claw back
possession and start scoring again …. With the game coming to an end and one more
turnover in the dying seconds' Force debutant, LeoIssac Lee stunned everyone with a
fantastic half-court buzzer beater sending the Force bench into a meltdown as they all
rushed to pick up LeoIssac and celebrating another win! 18 - 15.
A strong performance and deserved 64 – 43 win for the Portsmouth Force, A few weeks rest
before our next game but we again welcome another new opponent the Surrey Rams 2 to
Ravlin Park on the 4th of December.
